Tracing back our footsteps to the fabulous Spring/Summer fashion weeks in the fall, we can soon expect to marvel at the new influences our top designers have brought to the streets. Fashion is not a matter of how full your wallet is, but surprisingly, it’s the little innovative alterations that give your style an edge. So, for this spring, there are five key trends that stand out:
The Roaring 20s
The poetic and jazzy age of the 20s is back. Designers such as Gucci, Etro, Roberto Cavalli, Marc Jacobs, and Carolina Herrera are emphasizing the drop-waist dresses and the vintage crew neck look. Not only that, sequence, thin fringe and shiny metallic fabrics are highlights for the spring. Tip: Lower your belt to a low waistline instead of an empire waist for any dress or outfit.

Pretty Female
I am sure we were all not expecting the overly “cute” Marc Jacob’s Louis Vuitton carousel fashion show this fall, but it worked. Additionally many collections such as Calvin Klein, Valentino, Nina Ricci, and Proenza Schouler featured delicate, intricate embellishment. Light fabrics, lace and feminine pastel hues where used to embrace the cute little girl a woman hides inside her.

Abs Exposed
Don’t hide your skin. This spring is influenced by bra-like and cropped tops paired beautifully with bright colored graphic pencil or full skirts. Designers such as Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Sophia Loren, and Emilio Pucci have featured this look, making it exciting, fun, feminine, and sophisticated.

Graphic Designs
Whether they depict aquatic figures, fresh fruits, flowers, or futuristic designs, the graphics have stepped to the top. Designers such as Christopher Kane, Rodarte, Peter Pilloto, Giorgio Armani, Dolce & Gabbana and many more, have made their garments’ graphics the center piece of body manipulation to the eye. The power of patterns are now emphasizing the way the garments fit and express the human figure. Not to mention, many tops and bottoms featuring matching patterns are worn together.
